Take It All The WayNot long ago a heart was unsure Haunted from the past it had to endure It trembled and shook but dared not to beat At the first sign of love it beat its retreat But one day this heart felt a tiny pull As if something wished it not to hide in full And try as it might it could not break away It seems this something was there to stay It wanted so badly to take a quick look To see what had grasped it in sweet gentle hooks Gathering all of its strength it turned around Only to find by true love it had been bound For a moment all the pain and confusion was gone It knew that with love it did belong Bidding goodbye to the refuge in which it stayed It turned to embrace true love and take it all the way ~THE FLOWING PEN~ 8-3-04 - Vote for this poem -
