The One True LightJohn 1:7-12 John was not the light just to bear witness, Proclaiming the truth through humbleness; For the light is a true light to this world, With a plan from God for to be unfurled; He was in the world that was made by him, The world knew him not of indistinct bedim; He came unto His own, was received not, But as many accepted Him as they ought; They were able to become sons of God, To all that believed giving honor and laud. John the Baptist merely a messenger first, To all those in the Scriptures that thirst; For the light of the world came to shine, In making it known about Heavenly Divine, Those who acknowledge truth to accept, Were overjoyed by an eternal life concept; Then others who were totally in disbelief, Rather see Him treated just like a thief; Little did anyone then really understand, How much Jesus Christ was in command.
