Journey HomeI found the path I've been looking for The path to where I belong I've been lost for countless days In a world of dark and fog I forgot where I came from Forgot who I was Forgot who I wanted to be I was blinded by my own grief, But now I can see Now I know who I am I remember my place I AM what I wanted to be I found the road to where I belong I am no longer afraid to dream I take this path Step by step Mentally erasing all my faults I remember the place this path takes me No longer feeling locked and suffocated in a depriving vault I feel the timbers lifted from my shoulders The tear stains wiped away I can finally lift my head up high To take in the sun's rays I see it now, My little crib Down the path that I found Far greater than money, and even Rome .....This is the journey home By: Eric Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
