Ephemeral of Time

Two butterflies came my way,
Pursuing each other in their play.
An ephemeral of time,
From nature's perfect sublime.

From across the meadow they came,
Playing their chasing game.
Among the grass they did play,
Then soundlessly fluttered away.

What an unexpected delight,
To encounter such a sight.
Two butterflies engaged in play,
That enlivened my day.
