She needs to feel his warm embrace
Perhaps more so than it seems
As his arms are reaching for her
Within the boundaries of her dreams

She needs to feel that teasing pressure
Of his fleeting gentle kiss
To set her senses alive once more
To replace fingertips in longing on her lips

She needs to hear his playful laughter
Such sweet music upon her ear
Send it calling upon the night wind
To fill the emptiness that she does hear

She needs to feel his heart that beats
To lay her head upon his chest
She needs him in the here and now
Instead of a dream so sweet at best
