Shades of GrayMatthew 5:33-37 You shall not swear falsely rather perform, To the Lord for as you swear to conform; Better not swear at all by Heaven or earth, Neither on all treasures of all its worth; Neither should try to swear by your head, For you cannot make one hair white or red; Let what you say be just simply Yes or No, Anything else comes of evil that will flow. In the eyes of God are no shades of gray, That could easily change from day to day; Everything is a clear cut black and white, Always stays consistent within His sight; No circumstances are beyond your control, In a final judgment there is no loophole; Everything is either true or it is false, In the Heavenly courtroom God is boss; No matter being caused by other factors, Or having some others as benefactors; There are no shades of gray for your sin, That could ever help you to enter within.
