Unseen Things

II Corinthians 4:14-18

Knowing that God had raised up the Lord,
Jesus shall also raise us up as a reward;
For all things are for your abundant grace,
To the glory of God that you will embrace;
Though our shell will perish we faint not,
As your internal spirit renewal is sought;
A light affliction is just in a mere moment,
But power of His glory lifts the torment;
While we look not at things which are seen,
Rather unseen things being holy and clean;
For all things that are seen only temporal,
But those things being unseen are eternal.
We go shopping because of having to buy,
Often to replace something that had to die;
Either a TV or a computer or maybe a car,
Because you just can not drive it very far;
Such a material world with living in today,
So often all these things lead us to stray;
Our lives no longer have God at the helm,
Putting faith into an unseen eternal realm;
