Ode to Superman

Leaping from tall buildings,
faster than a speeding bullet,
he zoomed onto the silver screen.
Eternally fighting the good fight
against injustice and all evil schemes.

Christopher Reeve was his name.
In life’s real struggle, he fought
hard, long and courageous against
overwhelming odds and for years
he beat those odds.

Today he lost the battle, but not
the war for his memory will fight
on.

Christopher Reeve will always be…
"Superman!"
