The man with the fishing rod

The man with the fishing rod
Set his hooks firm and deep
To the core of their brains
While his minions sleep
Untroubled
Unaware
Of  the controls
He planted there

The man with fishing rod
Will make them dance
Wildly to his tune
Rear and prance
Untroubled
Unaware
That the man
Is ever there

The man with the fishing rod
Will play his lines and tease
Impartially imposing his will
With greatest of ease
Untroubled
Unaware
Any sentience
Is really there

The man with the fishing rod
Lives on in their thoughts
Accepted unproved
Never ever sought
Untroubled
Unaware
That maybe he isn't
Really there
