A New Foundation

Titus 2:11-15

The grace of God that brings your salvation,
Has appeared to us all as a new foundation;
Teaching us to deny ungodliness and lust,
While living soberly, righteously and just;
Looking for blessed hope and appearing,
Of God and Savior Jesus Christ our king;
Who gave His life on the cross to crucify,
To redeem us from iniquity and to purify;
Strange people zealous of His good deeds,
Rebuke who despises the one who bleeds.
A new foundation has come and is at hand,
In spreading salvation throughout the land;
Given unto us by God through His grace,
And with His teachings that will embrace;
Giving us guidance for just how to live,
With the compassion for Him to forgive;
As Christ returns for His throne to retain,
Proclaim Him as king over earth to reign;
A new foundation for this world to become,
A salvation that will rid us of the scum.
