 Eyes that smiled softly

Her eyes they smiled… softly,
And shone with gentle light.
The glimmer, true loves beacon;
As cupid danced pure delight.
Her lips they whispered… softly,
And spoke with gentle voice.
The sound of Angel's laughter
Of the love we would rejoice.
Her arms they held me… softly,
And caressed with gentle need.
Her skin the softest velvet…
And I fell for love's belief.
But her heart was for another
And my heart sadly cried.
Her eyes that smiled softly
As all my love just died.
