A Christian Volunteer

I Corinthians 16:13-18

Be vigilant standfast in faith to be strong,
Let all you do be of love all life long;
You have the knowledge of the first fruits,
As servants of the saints in the grassroots;
Being under all aiding the work of the Lord,
Doing what is needed as not to be ignored;
Giving a comfort to the Spirit with respect,
For needy folks to know that it'll reflect.
Reach out to touch someone with a need,
Your own heart also to be touched indeed;
So many organizations need the volunteer,
That is able and willing as well as sincere;
People needing help that are near and far,
A situation in their life that left a scar;
Could be that some things requires a trait,
For others an arm for comfort to alleviate;
You feel warmth inside showing you care,
A satisfaction when you are able to share;
As Christians to serve is what God expects,
Volunteering compassion as God directs.
