A New Covenant

Jeremiah 31:31-34

It will be soon when God makes a new pact,
He will make a new covenant for to enact;
Not as the old one coming out of slavery,
When the people played in idol treachery;
The new agreement that God will make,
Be written in the hearts never to forsake;
He shall be our God and we as His tribe,
As we adhere to it as He shall transcribe;
No longer shall be teaching unto others,
Everyone is neighbor and all are brothers;
Get to know God with knowledge thereof,
From the least to the greatest in His love;
He will grant forgiveness of evil and sin,
Erased from His memory so deep within.
Such a wonderful God to forgive and forget,
Willing to give a fresh start hit the reset;
Looking at each of us show honor and fear,
Able to serve with praise and be sincere;
Always be faithful and always remain true,
For a new covenant is waiting for you.
