Searching the WildernessMatthew 11:7-10 You went out into the wilderness for to see, A tall stem moving in the wind up on a tree; But going out for to see holding reason why, Was it visiting a delicately clothed guy? Those in fair robes are in houses for kings, And are surrounded with expensive things; But why did you even consider going out? Must have been to see a prophet no doubt; More than a prophet for as Christ the Lord, Sending John the Baptist for on the record; Paving the way in order of going out ahead, Of whom eventually on the cross and bled. We know it was not Elijah to have returned. A prophet was what they were concerned; Someone to forecast the Messiah to come, To be as king and rid them of the scum; We look for answers in the wrong places, Talking to wrong ears and wrong faces; A higher authority our concerns to share, As we go to God talking to Him in prayer.
