The Greatest CommandmentsMatthew 22:37-40 You shall love the Lord with all your heart, With all your soul and mind never to part; This is the first and greatest rule of all, And with the second like that is to befall; Love your neighbor just as you love you, The law and prophets based on these two. We tend to get wrapped up in many things, Through each day whatever that it brings; As the material goods that are man made, Causes a relationship in God to dissuade; We spend more time in front of a TV set, Or on the computer surfing the Internet; Than spending time with God in His Word, As well as sending a prayer to be heard; The same is true with people we meet, How many of them do we really greet? In your own neighborhood seeing a face, Not even having a name to take its place; Give all of your love to the Lord our God, And at least giving your neighbor a nod.
