In the Day of the LordII Peter 3:9-11 The Lord is not slow in keeping His word, It may seem to some of being quite absurd; But He is really waiting in mercy for you, Not desiring your destruction to construe; Rather for you to turn from your evil ways, And to hear from you worship and praise; For the day of the Lord to come as a thief, People will stand in awe of such disbelief; That day when Heaven will be rolled up, With a monstrous noise that will develop; Things on earth changed by violent heat, As the entire world is burnt up in defeat; Seeing that all things will come to an end, Being holy and righteous for to transcend. Many people show a cheap form of grace, Lips deceive as the heart full of disgrace; The day to come soon to judge everyone, As deception shines detected by the Son; Be true to your word, truth in your heart, Holiness and righteousness for to impart.
