Had I One Wish
"Had I One Wish"
Had I one wish
this it would be
To find the happiness
That's eluded me
Starting over
To begin again
Never to remember
Where I had been
Should I have taken
A different road
would I still carry
This heavy load
Life is short,
So fast it goes
Many wonder
Yet no one knows
No starting over
Nothin will we find
Unless we retreat
Deep into the mind
For all we shall find
Is sadness and regret
Comes a time in our life
We have to forget
There can't be a wish
So this shall be
all there is
For you and me.
