Thrust My TrustIsaiah 25:1-4 The Lord is my God; I will give Him praise, I will honor His name throughout my days; For He has done powerful acts oh so great, Purposes in the past made true as His fate; Made a town barren tearing down its walls, As a tower filled with pride from men falls; Strong people will glorify Him as we cheer, As the cruel and wicked ones hide in fear; For God has been a fortress for the poor, A shelter from the storm as we are in store; Like a cloud that shades us from the heat, As a blanket in winter that warms my feet. Truly a great comforter that God has been, Just to think that He even erases my sin; He watches over me both by day and night, When problems erupt He makes it alright; For He is always there when I pray my plea, That is because God does think a lot of me; I'm no longer tempted with the earthly lust, For the Lord my God I thrust all my trust, Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2004 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
