Slipping Back?

Hebrews 2:1-4

There is more need for us giving attention,
To things we hear requiring comprehension;
For fear that by chance we might slip away,
And it'll be too late on that Judgment Day;
For if the Word brought by angels is true,
And a full punishment for us will be due;
What will come of us if we do not think,
Of the salvation that we are on the brink;
In either receiving or allowing for to slip,
A salvation that our forefathers had a grip;
As signs and wonders of God as a measure,
Dispersing the Holy Spirit at His pleasure.
It's very easy for the things of this earth,
As a priority for more than they are worth;
Allowing the earthly treasures in our lives,
Controlling our emotions as greed thrives;
Whatever is your priority is also your God,
And you are entirely blinded by the fraud;
Remember that Satan just loves to attack,
When he sees that you are slipping back.
