A Cheerful Giver

II Corinthians 9:6-9

Whoever sows a small amount of seeds,
Will get the same to reap for their deeds;
Whoever puts them in from his full hand;
Will have a fruitful harvest that is grand;
Let everyone decide through their heart,
Not in grief or by force as they to part;
God takes pleasure in a cheerful giver,
And will give you grace in full measure;
So that ever having enough of all things,
Being full of every good work it brings;
Those who go out far giving to the poor,
Their righteousness to be forever more.
It is always better to give than to receive,
For your own happiness that you achieve;
You will feel healthier and filled with love,
Not just money, but time and talent thereof;
Showing others you care goes a long way,
And your reaping will increase everyday;
A cheerful giver will have a great reward,
That will be ever lasting from our Lord.
