the dark lady sleeps alone in her bed
conjuring a universe up in her head
she fitfully starts at an approaching nightmare
and half of her universe is no longer there
she writhes and she pants and turns on one hip
causing the swamping of one million ships
she comes awake like a light being switched on
and the rest of her universe is immediately gone
