Last Knot On The Rope

last hurrah
 Last wish
 Last desire
 Last chance
 Last slippery slope

A desperate grab for
that last proverbial
knot on life’s rope

It’s now or never,
the candle flickers,
but there's one last
hope...
that last knot at
the end of life's rope

Jackie R. Kays
