From weathered notes in the castle's heart
I carefully pieced together all the parts
With every rigor mortised limb
I shall reconstruct him
I sewed every organ into position
with the finest tailor's precision
From past mistakes new knowledge's gained

Good news this morrow brings

At midnight's stroke I slink to gravesite
and gather thine corpse by candlelight
Dragging it to wagon, then back to the lab
with fevered pitch I attack giant slab

cries of excitement I cannot muzzle
I raise my masterpiece toward rainy skies
over castletop lightning bolts fly
a flash, a surge of naked energy
hits the rod with sparked ferocity
amps travel downward to awaiting host
smoke rises as its flesh starts to roast
Stillness, calm, nothing and then...
stirring in joints, moving of lids
FLASH
eyes flutter
roar uttered
its thrashing away at the table
trying to will its muscles as able
with effort its stands up with face of jade
