Tornadic Terror
I saw it on the T.V.
The pictures horrified,
Of a deadly tornado
By which so many died.
It wiped out a whole town
There in Tennessee,
It's wrath was very merciless
On those who sought to flee.
The sturdy homes and structures
Which usually shelter so well,
Seemed to fall like card houses
When tornadic winds did befall.
Now so many lives are shattered
And lie in a ruinous state,
The forces of Nature have spoken
Subduing to such a dreadful fate.
My prayers go out for the survivors
Of this Veteran's Day Tornadic Spree,
God help these needy families
Give them strength for the future to see!
We know not, at any giv'n moment
We too might such dangers thus face,
Give us courage and wisdom,
Precious life thus to celebrate!
