Nightmarish Dream

First a feeling of quiet uneasiness then comes
the short jerky breaths, the fear begins to swells
from deep within the chest.

As the throat tightens you begin to slowly move,
then faster and faster, until you're going full speed.
You tightly close your eyes, your heart pounds loudly
in your chest as you try to scream!

If only you could take a deep breath!
But now you are paralyzed with fright
and this horror will never end it seems.

Then it stops as quickly as it had started
and you finally quit your screaming. Then you
think... how did I let my grandson talk
me into this nightmarish roller coaster scheme.
