What Religion Would God choose?

What religion would God choose...?
To spread his holy word,
to speak of true compassion
with all peoples of the world.
To understand the hunger,
raging in our soul.
To praise our understanding,
of all we do not know.

What religion would God choose...?
as he watches children die.
Black or white they're all the same,
...so shamed to see them cry.
Would you praise your holy fathers?
Draped from head in gold,
Would Allah truly be your name...
to every Jewish child told?

Dear God our heavenly father,
Lord of all the world.
Tell me now which way to turn...
so I might hear your words.
Religion now is lost to me,
though I pray each day to know,
What religion would you choose God?
to light the path we go?

What Religion Would God choose?
