Word PowerProverbs 12:17-22 As you are leaving from here this morning, Please heed these words to be a warning; Breathing out true words increases thought, But false witness is a deceitful onslaught; While some people talk can be quite rude, A tongue piercing as a sword as they feud; But the tongue of the wise can make well, Healing the wounds that the swords impel; True lips certainly forever never to deny, As a false tongue not consistent in a lie; Evil is in the heart those conniving deceit, But their outcome will wind up in defeat; For false lips are abominations to the Lord, And be a downfall if my words are ignored. I tell you these things for your own good, And hoping that they might be understood; For changing your attitude and way of life, Then maybe you'll not have all that strife; You need to know the power of the word, For God also hears what others have heard.
