The Faithful ServantLuke 12:35-40 Get dressed and be ready on going on a trip, With your lights burning so you do not slip; Be like men that are looking for their lord, Returning from the feast not to be ignored; When he comes to the door you open fast, Not to make him feel as though an outcast; Bless the servant the master finds awake, Pleasing him at the table with a nice steak; No matter what time even after midnight, Servants still watching for his headlight; If the master to know the coming of a thief, He would be very watchful to avoid grief; So beware the Son of man comes at a time, When you least expect it just like a crime. We do not know when or were it will be, It is just that for having to wait and see; Be ever vigilant in keeping a watchful eye, Aimed upward toward the clear blue sky; The faithful servant shall see his reward, After ascending into Heaven with our Lord.
