Arms of the Heavenly FatherI Peter 2:1-3 Put away your defiled tricks and deceit, As well as all of your envy and conceit; Quench your thirst on milk of the Word, Allow it to nourish as it is being heard. Just as a baby takes a mother's breast, The Word of God will give you rest; Knowledge of your salvation at hand, Having an eternal life in being planned. After a taste of the Lord in His grace, Then you have a desire to see His face; For just as nestled in a mother's arm, You have the reassurance of no harm. Our Father in Heaven gives us peace, An ever lasting that will never cease; Once as His Word has nourished you, Earthly temptations shall discontinue. Desires thriving from a higher source, While being cleansed of past remorse; With repenting from your past misdeeds, His mercy shines as your Savior bleeds.
