Soldier of Faith
2 Timothy 2:1-7
Be strong in the grace that is Jesus Christ,
For avoiding temptations that be enticed;
As said unto you having been witnessed,
To those of the faith that have professed.
So prepare without the comforts of life,
That may result into turmoil and strife;
A soldier for Christ in the Army as one,
A fighting man righteously for the Son.
Keeping free from the worldly desires,
Protected by a full armor of God he attires;
To be pleasing to God as part of the force,
As you remain on the righteous course.
If anyone takes part and follow the rules,
He will have to forfeit the crown jewels;
And not be able to take of the first fruit,
Be careful on the direction of your pursuit.
The wrong path could be your destruction,
If not following God and His instruction;
Heed advice as a soldier of faith as I say,
For the Lord will give wisdom everyday.
