She changes color
Before you
Hiding her pain
Disguising her sorrow,
Chameleon girl

Never allowing you,
Her betrayor!
To glimpse the facade
Of what has become
Her life

For survival,
She does this
Until mercy comes
Letting her shed the skin
You've marked in love....
