The Bread of Eternal Life

John 6:53-59

I say it unto each and every one of you,
For this what I am about to say is true;
Flesh of the Son of man you do not eat,
You shall not be spiritually complete.

The same is true of His blood to drink,
About eternal life you shall never think;
For whosoever eats his flesh for food,
And drinks His blood shall be rescued.

Rescued by Jesus Christ from the dead,
On the final day He ensures you be fed;
His blood and flesh are eternal vitality,
That is virtually a form of immortality.

Eat and drink of His body no longer grim,
For He be within you as you are in Him;
As the Father sent Christ for us to live,
Because the Father also able to forgive.

Christ is the life bread from Heaven came,
Eternal life with the Father to proclaim;
His flesh is manna your fathers devour,
And will have a life in Heaven forever.
