Food for ThoughtProverbs 4:20-27 Heed my words as your ear be turned, Let them in your mind for to be burned; For they are food for life and strength, In giving endurance at a great length. Be diligent of your heart and take care, For out of it are issues of life to share; Discard the false tongue and fake lips, And your eyes up, not down at the hips. Watch your behavior remembering God, As you praise Him for to honor and laud; Always following the ways of the Lord, And He will ensure salvation as a reward. Keep straight and narrow and no turning, Neither right nor left for lustful yearning; For evil lurks and waits for you to stray, Just like a vulture in devouring its prey. So my son, I give this food for thought, What you should be doing as well as not; Keep them in your mind and your heart, Tightly locked up within never to depart.
