Life-Changing Words

God has done well in keeping His Word,
Of His knowledge and wisdom as I heard,
My faith is in His teachings I had sought,
All makes good sense that He has taught.

Before I was in trouble with going astray,
My mind was like a dried piece of clay;
So hard and not pliable unable to mold,
Just like my hard head and being so bold.

But now I keep His Word within my heart,
Fresh on my mind for all my days to start;
His words are true and works are good,
Just as His laws tell me just what I should.

Even though men of pride speaking lies,
For I can see their soul through their eyes;
They say some things that just are not true,
As part of their deception liking to argue.

I know that their hearts are just not right,
Because of the Word of God is my delight;
Since my days of trouble are truly over,
His Law is worth more than gold or silver.
