A Virtuous Woman

Proverbs 31:10 - 31

What man is able to find a virtuous wife?
One that he can spend the rest of his life;
Such a priceless gift more than a treasure,
Worth more than jewels of any measure.

The heart of her husband has faith in her.
Able in nearly everything to fully concur;
She does him good and treats him well,
Stands behind her man helping to excel.

Buying the freshest meat and fine thread,
Ensuring her family is clothed and fed;
She shops until finding for the best price,
As well as the best quality for to entice.

She reaches out to the needy and the poor,
In compassion for hardships they endure;
She faces the future with the self-respect,
Knowing her righteousness does reflect.

Honor and praise from husband and child,
For God has kept her from being defiled;
Give her credit telling her how you value,
Of being a virtuous woman staying true.

What man can find a virtuous woman for a wife?  I can honestly say that I have. Do you think that I am kidding?  Far from it!  She is every bit and more as described by Solomon in these verses.  There is no doubt in my mind that God had it planned all along for her to be my soul mate.

I thank God every morning upon awakening for giving me such a priceless treasure.  A woman that displays such devotion to her man as never before ever experienced.  She constantly puts God first, but her family always comes in a close second.  She may have her own career to juggle into her daily routine as a librarian, but never lets that obstruct her devotion to God and family.

She knows my every mood as a good wife should and is able to turn things around.  A supportive wife that speaks up and offers before I ever have to ask for assistance.  She is there to comfort and get me back on my feet.  Just as when things seem to be getting dull, she throws a twist with a joke to liven up the day.

I give honor and praise to my wife and praise God for making me as one in flesh with such a virtuous woman as she is.  A blessing from God truly lives.
