A 7th Grade Summer And I'm removed, to some kid from school
still hasn't gotten any older,
still wearing the same cloths
His mind still swimming in the swim pool
That he drowned in when we was kids
Everyday, that same look he gives
With a mix of innocence, yet self consciousness,
and I cant help but smile, reach out my arms
Ask him to go play again
Loiter around town
His eyes continue to stare,
but his lids don't shut
Focused on a gate,
thats to high to jump across
With no guard on duty,
and everyone else thats blind
He puts his foot in the water
he does this every single time,
and I scream out his name,
and try to run, with feet cut off again
A puddle is pictured,
and it dissolves to the bottom |
