Days of Yet to Come

Luke 17:22-27

The days will come when you have a desire,
In seeing one of these days the Son of man;
But you will not be seeing it for to admire,
Since revealing it isn't part of God's plan.

If someone says that they see it over there,
Do not go away rather go after and pursue;
Tell the good news with others for to share,
Since you should know the real true value.

Just as a thunderstorm lightning so bright,
Able to see while streaking across the sky;
Illuminating so intensely through the night,
Same will seem for the Son of man to fly.

But first He'll suffer much from our peers,
Before He will be able to come once more;
Being inflicted in such pain to bring tears,
Prior to Him come knocking on your door.

As in the days of Noah so be it for the Son,
While you are feasting no one be prepared;
For a victory of salvation that's to be won,
In the wrath of God no one will be spared.
