A SECRET PLACE

When problems surround, bring you down or feel depressed
I beckon to seclusion for your solitude and rest.

Go to this secret place, hidden deep within your mind
Where aromas of red-wood cedar mingle with honeysuckle vine.

Surrender all five sense for a moment unaware
Breath deep, releasing slowly out, then you will soon be there.

Willow trees thru winds of time, bend an arched welcome door
Where pine piled to perfection spreads plush carpet on a floor.

A stream of fresh, cool water drifts gently nearby
A waterfall cascading softly as a soothing lullaby.

A forest of peace to embrace you from all lifes worries and cares
Notes of contentment, birds sweetly chirp, melodies carry you there.

Whispering winds swirl around you like a lowly released sigh
With a misty spray of tranquility from the waterfall close-by.

Rays of sunshine bathe you as balm soothes away all stress
A meadow lush with lavendar, whose fragrence does refresh.

This secret place I often go when feeling sad and blue
A mystical thought of inner peace,I hope it brought to you.
