With watermelons, barbecues
And merriment galore,
We celebrate our freedom
Nationwide, from shore to shore.
In the name of patriotism
For this country, strong and great
Honor we the sovereign birthday
Of our grand United States.

The dawn ‘till dusk of day
For the rights we have been given
Or obtained along the way.
We remember too, the fallen
Who died for all to see
This democratic nation
Born to cherish liberty.

Through vibrant flares of color
In the fireworks we set
We applaud the forefathers' visions;
Promising ne'er to forget
That this land of lakes and rivers;
Rolling hills and fertile plains,
Is a place where dreams are tendered
And freedom still remains.

Every year, we praise the memory
Of the battles that were waged
In the bunkers and the culverts
Where our rivals were upstaged.
To protect a revelation
That can never be denied
Which we rightfully acknowledge
On the fourth of each July.
