Sail On

In a dreamer's dream, forever sailing,
sailing through eternity.
Ghostly sights of times to be, through
the eye of the storm without dignity.

Lost forever from reality, sailing,
sailing through the winds of forgetfulness,
across the abyss of time, praying for
my life to somehow rhyme.

Where's the life guard,
the light house, the safe
haven I seek?
Only loneliness, despair
and emptiness do I reap!

Sail on into the mist of anguish,
a soul soon lost to be, across
the river Styx sail on, sail on
I shall forever flee.

Into the silence of the unknown
my ship does sail. The only voices
heard are the voices from hell.

Madness be my lot on this
delusional ship my soul
shall surely rot.

A Dreamer's dream this is not!
Sail on, sail on through eternity
is surely to be my destiny's lot.
