THE FOXI went out to the lake of light Because I wanted peace and quiet I saw a fox behind the wall He didn't answer to my call. He ran away afraid of me And I was sorry this could be For I had never hurt a fox And loved this one just like the rest. I waited there for him to come So I could say I meant no harm But he just went away from me With no awareness of my charm. Julie Graham © 2005 – All rights reserved.
