Talking to God

Matthew 6:5-8

When you pray do not try to be a fake,
Like all of those who pretend in church;
Show true faith that your heart is awake,
While gathering thoughts in your search.

Then go into your room and shut the door,
Pray onto your Father secretly in solitude;
Seeing you in secret confidentially secure,
Giving Him all your praise and gratitude.

For God will truly give you your reward,
By pouring out what is deep for to impart;
And by making Jesus Christ as your Lord,
As you are loving Him with all your heart.

With your words do not constantly repeat,
Saying the same things as the Gentiles do;
The misunderstanding that He will meet,
Requests that He hears repeated from you.

He may actually be paying attention less,
Already having knowledge of your needs;
If you pray sincerely He will surely bless,
While He plants within His spiritual seeds.
