No matter how hard I tried in vain
To trick this mind of mine
Into its submissive state, and to relax

However you, as a dark cloud,
Kept on creeping over my head, in the sky
Reminding my heart of its’ broken state

My tears, they kept on coming, fast and steady
Mourning of what I had lost
My greatest love, my world has cracked

My eyes dart upward, begging for some contact
As the dark, cloud-covered sky of loneliness
Tugged at my heart, for the moon was nowhere to be seen

Time, I cried out in frustration, trying to understand
"Heals all wounds," and "to move on"
My soul has broken in half, and you got a part

Where was destiny? Where was fate?
Where did they both go? Off with the moon,
Enhancing another world, of a new life,

Leaving behind me, a lost and crazed lover
For my heart, you are what it desires
As you bring happiness, brightness, and the moon.
