 Thank You

Thank you for being a father to me
When my own didn't want to be.

Thank you for providing for me
When my mother couldn't possibly.

Thank you for caring and loving me so
When my life was tossed to and fro.

Thank you for making me laugh and smile
Even if it was only for a little while.

Thank you for taking time out for me
Without your guidance I don't know who I'd be.

Thank you for making sure I'd once see
Your face again in eternity.

This poem is about my Grandfather, who passed away on May 23, 2005.  He was a wonderful man who I continue to admire and marvel at.  I was crazy in love with him.
