Pondering Thoughts

Luke 12:22-26

Take no thought of your life nor of food,
For God ensures you have enough to eat;
Whatever is devoured as being chewed,
The Lord has provided the stomach treat.

Take no thought of your life nor of drink,
For God ensures for quenching your thirst;
Whatever is drank just take time to think,
How those without faith will be cursed.

Take no thought of your life nor clothes,
A body is more than fashionable raiment;
Worrying of fads just adds to your woes,
As vanity is dealt on the Day of Judgment.

Rather give thought to the fowl in the air,
They are not putting seeds into the earth;
They have no barns in which for to share,
But God provides while seeing their worth.

How much greater value are you than birds?
And so why are you troubled about the rest?
Of what I tell you are more than just words,
They are just advice in your Heavenly quest.
