she summonses me every evening
allows me to watch her eat
and when she feels so generous
allows me my special treat
she undresses there before me
knows I savour it so much
every seductive movement closer
knows I dare not touch
watch her every garment slowly slide
to the polished floor
watch her and her reflection move
towards and through the door
as she slowly moves
away out of my sight
sometimes she cups her finger
blows me a kiss of goodnight
and I lie by the threshold
her devoted guard
and maybe just maybe she will
call on me for reward
until then I wait there
and huddle
breathe in scent
from her clothes which I cuddle
