By Faith

Hebrews 11:1-6

Faith is the substance of things for hope,
And the sign of things not seen are true;
Since it is a way that helps you to cope,
With the tribulations to see you through.

By it our fathers had approval from God,
And by faith it makes things very clear;
Knowing as it is genuine and not a fraud,
For comforting us and chase away fear.

By it Abel had a better offering than Cain,
In it he had witness to his righteousness;
As to this very day his faith still sustain,
The joy of God and with His blessedness.

By faith Enoch was taken up into Heaven,
God took him away so as to not see death;
Before being taken witness had been given,
As well-pleasing to God with every breath.

Without faith it's impossible to please Him,
And without faith you can not have belief;
Your outlook on life to look bleak and dim,
As well as your stress will have no relief.
