The Power Within

Luke 10:17-20

I was watching Satan falling like a star,
Being kicked out by God from Heaven;
Already knowing who his victims are,
Because the power unto him was given.

He controls the snakes and evil beasts,
Your power is weak compared to him;
While Satan sees temptation as feasts,
That can makes things dark and grim.

Only Christ gives strength as a shield,
Restoring your faith for being strong;
And as the disguise of Satan is revealed,
To help keep you from going wrong.

No harm comes to you with Christ inside,
For you have the power that is great;
As long as you will trust and abide,
And tell God how much you appreciate.

So be glad in what each one inherits,
That to the non-believers is forbidden;
You having power over the evil spirits,
Since God already has your name written.
