Oh sweet Lord please help me I pray,
in this hour of dark distress I seek Thy kindness,
give blessed peace to my wounded soul,
lift me up help me overcome my pain,
give me shelter from this dreadful storm,
help me I beg Thee to get over my great loss,
rebuild within me a warm and loving heart,
remove the bitter chill of loss in my frozen soul,
help me Lord to find love fresh and new,
better than it was before,
raise me up from the bitter agony of my despair,
that I may live my life rightly before Thee.
