Don't Judge Me Harshly
My love don't judge me harshly,
for I am but a simple man of simple means,
making my share of mistakes along the way,
at times I may seem to lack in judgement,
but that is true of everyone,
I am of a quiet nature and contrite,
but speak that which lies heavy upon my mind,
sometimes I speak without giving thought to what I say,
but of eloquent speech I am not,
my manners I didn't learn from a book,
its just the way I am,
like everyone I've had my share of hurt,
and have caused pain to others,
I live without causing malice and am not a prideful man,
no harm do I seek to cause another,
I have learned to love with depth and truth,
and to my life there is no devious plan nor hidden agenda,
my thoughts and desires you may not always know,
but my love I'll always show.
My sweet lady please don't judge me so harshly,
for I am but a simple man.
